Who I Am

Do you have a motto?

Yes, but I got it from Sam Snead. The cleaned up version is, “If you’re not thinking of women, then you just aren’t concentrating hard enough”

Do you have a pet peeve?

Traffic jams and people who like to look when they can’t see anything.

If you could go back in time and start again, how far back would you go?

I guess I’d go back to age 16 and not break up with my future wife, so we wouldn’t have had to meet again 9 years later before getting married.

A little known fact about you is…

I usually won the piece of chocolate in 1st grade spelling bees.

How I Got Here

Education:

When I went to college in the mid-70s, there was no such thing as “Computer Science”. I ended up taking several math, programming languages and business courses at Chabot College, Hayward, CA and College of San Mateo, Belmont, CA.

Professional Experience:

I’ve been programming since 1978. I worked on Radar Warning systems for fighter aircraft/helicopters for 16 years, and I’ve been doing databases and web pages ever since then.

Why do you enjoy working at Synapse?

I like being in a company atmosphere the people work as a team toward their goals and have pride/integrity in their work.
