Synapse Campaign Earns Gold Aster Award
Synapse is pleased to announce that a series of magazine advertisements created for The Women’s Place at the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center in Lititz recently earned a Gold Aster Award for excellence in healthcare marketing and advertising. The campaign explored significant selling points of the Women’s Place and OBGYN Associates of Lancaster by focusing on three women’s unique birthing stories.
“Winning an award is always a nice honor, but winning an award for this campaign is really special,” said Pamela Denlinger, Director of Account Management at Synapse and leader of the project. “Many people on the staff played a role in helping this ad series come to life.”
Amanda Maounis, Senior Graphic Designer, served as art director and lead designer on the project. Mike Deraco, Vice President of Production, and Jared Hippensteel, Director of Web and UI Design, handled photography. “I had a wonderful time photographing the families in the hospital,” Mike said. “The staff and the families were so easy to work with and the kids were great. I feel honored to be a small part of this award.”
Pamela said the campaign was memorable because it involved on-location photography of the families reuniting with the medical staff who helped with their births. “We worked hand-in-hand with the families and were able to see the bonds that the doctors and patients had with one another. It helped in creating an ad campaign that was meaningful and emotional.”
Amanda Brunish, Marketing Director for Heart of Lancaster, said the campaign is driving customers to the Women’s Center. “Everyone at Heart of Lancaster, from nurses to physicians, loves our OB Testimonial Campaign. Synapse did an exceptional job of taking my vision and bringing it to life and taking it to the next level. They were professional working with each of our patients for the photoshoot. They provided top-notch creative work and were able to tell the story of each of our patients succinctly. Perhaps most importantly, we continue to see our OB numbers grow post-running the campaign. Synapse gave us everything we were looking for with this
campaign and more.”
The Aster Awards is an international medical marketing awards competition hosted by Creative Images, Inc. A panel of expert judges evaluates entries based on creativity, layout/design, typography, production quality, and overall effectiveness. The awards are presented annually in May.
