New Product Line Launch

The Challenge
After experiencing much success in the European and Japanese Automotive markets, Yuasa decided to expand their Automotive product line into the U.S. They would need help communicating the update to their existing customers which consisted of wholesalers and consumers. Industry standards required them to clearly communicate and convey their expansive offering of batteries by vehicle make, model, and VIN in an easy to navigate search feature on their website. In addition to needing their U.S. website refreshed, Yuasa also required a way to target and reach their intended audience in the states. Yuasa turned to Synapse to increase demand and attract potential vendors to distribute their Automotive Battery product line in U.S. markets.

The Solution
Synapse stepped in to create a product search feature on their existing website sorting batteries by vehicle make, model and VIN for customers to easily locate what battery they’d need and where they could purchase. We worked closely with their product engineers to gather product data and develop an easy to navigate search tool in Yuasa’s branding colors and style, being careful with our Quality Assurance team to ensure the accurate product data for thousands of new options were sorting accurately and leading to the correct sources. Once the pages were created, we developed awareness campaigns through Yuasa’s target audiences preferred Social Media platforms along with Google Display Campaigns to highlight the new line. An Organic Social Media strategy was put in place to increase product line awareness to current Yuasa fans, and drive traffic to the new website. An SEO strategy was implemented sitewide to optimize page speed, images, links, and copy to drive both consumer and wholesaler traffic to the site for the long-term by improving Yuasa’s search ranking.

The Result

  • Over 4000 “Find a Dealer” searches were completed utilizing our newly developed search tool.
  • Over 5,000 goal completions were generated.
  • Strong search engine rankings with an average position on the first page.
  • Visitors spent 18.98% more time on the site and visited 7.07% more pages per visit.
  • Website Health Score of over 90%.
  • Social Media following increased by 10%.
